Did you know that February is National Bird Feeding Month? It is also Audubon's annual wild bird backyard winter survey. The bird survey brings out the competitive spirit in my family. Each household tries to log in the most visiting birds. I keep telling them that squirrels do not count! February is the perfect opportunity for bird feeding, bird watching, and for anyone who is feeling in the feathery spirit to extend a helping hand (or wing) to our flying friends. So spread your wings this February! You can take part in National Bird Feeding Month with us because this month we're making pinecone birdfeeders for our feathered friends. These adult take & make craft kits come with what you will need to make cute hanging birdfeeder treats for them. These birdseed ornaments are very easy to make and they look gorgeous on the trees outside! These kits will be available on Tuesday, February 11th in the Library Rotunda. For more information please contact Yvonne L. at 603-624-6550 ext. 7620 or e-mail yloomis@manchesternh.gov. Happy crafting!
